Jagriti Yatra is an annual, transformative train journey that aims to awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship and social innovation among young Indians and International youth. It is a unique platform that brings together 450 passionate individuals from 29 states and 7 Union territories and several countries to embark on a 14-day immersive journey across India together. Through this journey, participants witness the country’s socio-economic realities, engage with grassroots change-makers, forge relationships with peer groups, find mentors across fields and learn from industry experts.
The youth of India that lives in the economic middle of the country is today nestled in an economy that is fast changing and open to foreign funding, influences and International economic factors. Such a conducive environment for growth calls for the youth of India to be empowered, inspired and supported by an ecosystem of our current stalwarts ( Social entrepreneurs)building Sustainable Social Enterprises across decades. We believe that a seed grows in a well watered ecosystem, thus a peer group of start ups in different stages of their journey together build a community that supports each individual through a shared aspiration of Nation building as infused during the transforming train journey across the diverse geography of India.
India is a diverse land of cutting-edge cities as well as small villages and towns nestled between mountains that are developing to contribute to the world economy. India is today an emerging ecosystem of startups across industries and has several social and economical areas that can benefit from the start-ups. The Indian subcontinent is a diverse land with 22 official languages. These were born out of indigenous communities that have grown out of their specific geography, weather and cultural and heritage past.
Jagriti Yatra being the longest entrepreneurship train journey, is your only opportunity to cover 10 states, meet 7 Grass root social change makers and concept with aspiring new startups all in the safety of your train compartment. This first-hand experience will enrich your point of view of the country and inspire you and offer multiple opportunities to meet, collaborate and engage with 450 aspiring youth of the country that aspire to change the future of the country and then the world.

- We will confirm the payment and send the email of on-boarding.
- You are welcome to arrive in Mumbai on 26th October 2023 for your body to rest and acclimatize. On 27th October 2023 we have the Jagriti Yatra Induction program. We shall suggest the hotels for accommodation, which you can book next to the venue.
- You can book your return flight for 11th November 2023 or the next day from Mumbai.
The fee does not include airfare, visa cost and hotel accommodation.
Jagriti Yatra receives thousands of applications each year, and while the selection process for G20 delegates is not as rigorous as for other participants, we still have a basic selection process in place. We believe it is important to assess the applicant’s enthusiasm and willingness to actively participate in this adventurous train journey.
There are 6 beds in one AC Compartment and space is provided to park your luggage.
2 compartments are converted to mobile bathrooms and 4 washrooms available in each boogie of 72 beds. We spend most of the day visiting the Role Model and meet fellow travellers when we are on the train.
Special Security Personnel: Trained security personnel accompany us on the train journey. They are responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of all participants.
Railway Police Force: In addition to our dedicated security team, a contingent of railway police force personnel also travels with us. They work in coordination with the security team to enhance the overall security arrangements.
Jagriti G20 Yatra train journey, we prioritize the well-being and medical needs of our participants. To ensure comprehensive medical support, we have the following provisions in place:
- Medical Professionals: Two qualified doctors travel with us on the train. They are available to provide medical assistance and address any health concerns that participants may have during the journey.
- Mobile Pharmacy: We carry a mobile pharmacy onboard the train, equipped with essential medicines and supplies. Participants in need of basic healthcare support can avail themselves of necessary medications and first aid supplies.
- Sick Bay Compartment: One entire compartment on the train is converted into a dedicated sick bay. In case any participant requires medical attention beyond basic care, this compartment serves as a designated area where they can receive appropriate treatment and care.
- Please note that while we provide medical support onboard the train, it is important for participants to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions or specific healthcare requirements during the application process. This information allows us to better cater to individual needs and ensure appropriate medical assistance is available.

As the geography changes dramatically, the weather can range between 20 and 35 degree Celsius.
As the Yatra is designed as a 14-day program, our suggestion is to commit to the journey only when your leaves are confirmed. Leaving the Yatra in the middle will impact the environment as much as you.
Yes. Jagriti Yatra over the last 15 years has built a community of, 7500 Yatris. You will be added to the community on completion of the Yatra.
Food and accommodation and transport will be fully taken care of during the Yatra. In case you wish to purchase any local arts and crafts, you can carry some amount for that purpose.

The transport from one location to another is well planned and organized. We have the Direction team to guide you at each step. The train does not leave a single station without a complete headcount. We will also arm you with our contact numbers and helpline numbers to contact us in case of doubts.
